Saint Paul: A Story of Transformation

Saul the Persecutor

Saint Paul was originally known as Saul. He was a strict Pharisee who strongly opposed Christians. Saul was involved in persecuting and arresting Christians, believing he was serving God by doing so.

The Road to Damascus

The turning point came when Saul was traveling to Damascus to arrest more Christians. On this journey, something miraculous happened. A bright light from heaven suddenly shone around him, and he fell to the ground. He heard a voice saying, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" This voice was Jesus Christ, asking why Saul was harming his followers.

Saul's Transformation

Blinded by the light, Saul was led into Damascus by his companions. For three days, he was blind and did not eat or drink. A Christian named Ananias visited Saul, as directed by a vision from God. Ananias healed Saul's blindness and baptised him. This moment marked Saul's transformation. He changed his name to Paul and started preaching about Jesus.

Paul's Mission

After his conversion, Paul became one of the most passionate and influential missionaries of Christianity. He traveled far and wide, spreading the teachings of Jesus. Paul wrote many letters to communities, which are part of the New Testament in the Bible.
