Confirming Your FAITH

Confirmation is a special moment in the faith journey of a Catholic. It could be described as receiving a divine booster from God.

Gifts of the Spirit

Through the words and actions of the priest (often times a bishop) the confirmand receives the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit. Combined with a personal commitment to follow the teachings of Jesus and be an active part of the Christian community, it can lead to a better and more spiritual balanced life. Confirmation strengthens the connection to the larger Christian community, giving one a sense of belonging.

Confirmation isn't seen as the end but rather a stepping stone in an ongoing spiritual journey. It encourages continued growth, urging individuals to deepen their connection with the divine and live out their faith in their daily lives.

Strength Through Training

Good Shepherd offers an intense course which we call Training. It is based on the YouCat series, which is anchored in the Catechism of our faith. We have prepared ten sessions which help to prepare candidates to receive the Holy Spirit and all that it entails. These Training Sessions usually meet on Sunday afternoons, with the requirement that they attend Mass following. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Good Shepherd.
