Living F.A.I.T.H began as a small group of energetic women who wanted to meet regularly to share their Catholic faith. Today, the group is still very much alive and active. The Living F.A.I.T.H. group is not a closed group or private club, it is open to everyone!
The Power of Prayer
The first half of these meetings begin with an inspirational greeting followed by the rosary including intentions. A mobile chat group or text messages help to keep the group connected at other times. Support is around the hour for friends or family members or even for personal intentions.
Volunteering inside of Good Shepherd's
The life of a Catholic revolves and thrives from the Eucharist, which we celebrate every Sunday at 18:00. Good Shepherd's seeks to expand beyond Mass once a week and offer other liturgical services. During Lent, this group helps to organise weekly Stations of the Cross. During the month of May, we would like to offer Marian Devotions. We are currently organising people who would be willing to offer their hands to make rosaries. The rosaries will be offered in the church, together with instructions on how to say the rosary.
You can find a list of volunteer opportunities here.
Volunteering Outside of Good Shepherd's
The Living F.A.I.T.H. Group meets one morning and one evening a month to volunteer their time. The current project is in cooperation with Light House of Zug. It is here that this group organises and maintains a clothes room of second hand or donated new clothing. Light House is a charity organisation of the Catholic Church of Zug whose purpose is to assist those people who live on or below the poverty level.
What is poverty?
Good Shepherd's volunteer and Parish Council president (Gut Hirt Parish) recently submitted a translation of an interview with Iris Bischof the Cantonal Social Welfare office of Zug. You will find it here.
