Illumination in Advent

The Rorate Mass is a spiritual tradition and an opportunity for us to grow during the Season of Advent as we await the birth of Our Savior on Christmas Day. It is an impressive experience during Advent.

Light Up The Church

Very early in the morning on Tuesdays in Advent, Rorate is celebrated. It has a long tradition in the church, especially in the German-speaking countries. Candle light illuminates our church as we celebrate Mass and anticipate the beauty of dawn. Our traditional Rorate Mass (bi-lingual de/en) will be on Tuesday, December 10th at 6:30 in the morning. Rorate Mass is followed by a light breakfast in the Parish Center.

Light Up Our Lives

Praying in the dark except for the light of the candles on the altar and the candles held by faithful hints that something mysterious is happening. The symbolism of the candle matches very well with the spirit of Advent. Advent is dawn. It is a time of preparation for something joyful that is going to happen – the coming of Christ in our lives.

Take The Light Home

As we journey through the darkness of the winter months, let us be warmed by the light which will greet us on Easter.
